mind

Mental wellbeing is a constant need that needs to be kept topped up – just like a petrol tank.
Why? Because in times of stress, tiredness or illness we need to call upon our mindset and resilience to get us through the tough periods of life.

If we’re already running on empty because we’re not looking after our own needs or dealing with other anxieties then a tricky period can feel ten times worse.

body

Exercise of all types is proven to aid our wellbeing.
Adding just a short burst of 10 minutes walking or another exercise increases how alert we feel, overall energy levels and it gives us a positive mood during and afterwards.

Participation in regular physical activity can increase our self-esteem and can reduce stress and anxiety. If you add nature to your exercise the benefits are even greater.

soul

Many people feel that they have a spiritual nature which impacts their daily lives. Perhaps you have specific beliefs that influence how you go about your life?

Devoting some time to this part of ourselves helps to reflect and process what’s happening around us. Some people find silent moments are a great way to show gratitude for what they enjoy in life and promotes calmness and wellbeing.

about us…

Cambridgeshire Workplace Chaplaincy (CWC) is a charity dedicated to supporting people in their work; wherever that may be.

CWC is working hard to respond to local need during the pandemic. We decided to pool together our knowledge, connections, partnerships and ideas into one wellbeing hub that is easily accessible.

Wellbeing is an important subject that we feel strongly about, and all workplaces need to consider the wellbeing of their employees. We hope that you and your family, friends, colleagues and staff will find something useful within this Hub.

What is Chaplaincy?

Most people feel that they have a spiritual nature which impacts their daily lives. This may or may not involve a specific religion or set of beliefs. Chaplaincy aims to meet spiritual needs of people and provide comfort and support when needed.

A Workplace Chaplain is very much a freelance person offering emotional support in a wide variety of locations. You can often find a Workplace Chaplain in shopping centres, law courts, hospitals, football grounds, offices, colleges, prisons, farming communities… and many more locations. A Workplace Chaplain aims to comfort and support when someone needs them, regardless of faith or belief their job is to offer emotional support and a listening ear when needed.

Our mission is to promote workplace chaplaincy and support workplace Chaplains of all faiths across Cambridge, Peterborough and surrounding areas in their work of meeting the pastoral and spiritual needs of people in work settings of all kinds.
